平成11年度は、集団間コンフリクト状況における集団内相互作用効果の実験と、規範共有性の認知バイアスに関する調査をおこなった。実験は平成10年度の再実験であり、集団間コンフリクトの有無と集団内相互作用の有無が内集団協力行動に与える影響を検討している。具体的な実験状況としては、集団間に競争的依存関係を導入した社会的ジレンマ(以下SD)状況と、集団内利得構造は同じで競争的依存関係は導入しないSD状況を設定した(集団間コンフリクトの有無)。またそれぞれの状況で、集団成員に他成員を攻撃する機会がある場合とない場合の2条件(集団内相互作用の有無)を設定し、各成員の内集団協力行動への影響を比較検討した。実験の結果、集団内相互作用の主効果のみが認められ、競争的依存関係の有無に関わらず集団内相互作用がある場合(攻撃機会がある場合)は内集団協力行動が高まっていた。この実験で設定された集団内相互作用は、攻撃対象を自由に選べる中立的なものであった。また集団間競争依存関係を導入したSD状況では、全体パレート解が内集団への非協力行動(=全体への協力行動)になるように設定されていた。にも関わらずこの状況において相互作用が内集団協力行動を促進したのは、「集団内非協力者は罰される」という集団内不寛容に対する怖れが、内集団協力行動を促進したことを示している。こうした不寛容の怖れは、内集団協力についての規範の共有性が過大視されためと考えられる。そこで次に、規範共有性の認知バイアスについての調査を行った。この調査では、調査対象者に様々な社会規範を提示し、それらの規範が集団内でどの程度共有されているか予測させた。またそれらの社会規範が実際にどの程度共有されているのかも並行して調査した。その結果、集団への同調を求める規範の共有性が、現実の共有性以上に過大視される傾向が認められた。
