関連研究において要介助高齢者の日常生活動作能力評価票を作成している。このADL調査票は、先行研究を参考に理論的妥当性を踏まえて抽出した項目について、信頼性、妥当性、尺度の一次元性、実用性が保証されている。本研究では、本調査票を用いて要介助高齢者の日常生活動作能力特性について検討している。前年度は、要介助高齢者の日常生活動作能力に及ぼす歩行能力水準の影響、および要介助高齢者の日常生活動作を構成する動作領域特性について検討し、いくつかの知見を明らかにした。今年度は、性差および加齢変化の観点から要介助高齢者の日常生活動作能力特性について検討した。その結果、要介助高齢者の動作能力に有意な性差は認められないこと、要介助高齢者における動作能力の加齢に伴う低下は動作の難易度により異なり、難易度が高い動作ほど早い時期から能力水準の低下が見られるが、難易度の低下に伴って能力水準の有意な低下の認められる年代が高齢化する傾向にあること、手指動作を中心とした難易度の低い動作の場合、90歳代になってもある程度の成就水準が維持される傾向にあることなどが明らかにされた。また、作成した要介助高齢者の日常生活動作能力評価票の適用可能性を拡大する意味も含めて、機能水準の異なる他の高齢者(寝たきり高齢者や自立高齢者)の機能評価法についても検討している。これらの研究成果のいくつかは既に公表されているが(業績参照)、本評価票との関わりについては検討が不十分であり、本評価票の適用可能性の拡大という点で今後さらに検討が必要である。
