前年度,被験者A(小学5年生男子,高機能自閉症)にJIS絵記号313枚を見せて,それらの意味を問い,JIS絵記号すべてについて被験者が理解できる意味データを収集した.今年度は,このデータを用いて,絵記号を使った2種類約30問のコミュニケーション課題を作成し,Aと健常児2名(小学6年生女子,小学4年生男子)に対してこれらの課題を与え,その答え方の違いに着目して,Aのための絵記号コミュニケーション学習支援システムのプロトタイプを,CTAT(Cognitive Tutors Authoring Tool)を用いて試作した.コミュニケーション課題の結果から,AはJIS絵記号を個別の絵として解釈してしまい,絵記号を抽象化したシンボルとして捉えること,それらを関連付けることが,健常児に比べて困難であることがわかった.そこで,Aが絵(具体)として捉えていた絵記号を,より言語(抽象)に近いものとして抽象化して理解し,それらを関連付けて解釈できるようになることを目的として,絵記号コミュニケーション学習支援システムのプロトタイプを,CTATを用いて試作した.問題は14問あり,与えられた絵記号3〜4枚の組み合わせを見て,3〜4の選択肢から適切な語句を選んで,正しい意味の文を作成するもので,答え方に応じてヒントを示しながら間違いに気付かせ,正解に導くように作られている.ただし,ヒントに絵記号が入っていないこと,選択肢が別々に正誤を判定されることが,今後の課題としてあげられる.
