It is well-known that investigation of popular consciousness is one of the new trends of historical science in Japan. Our project has investigated how this trend has been shared with some Asian countries'historial science and we made sure that this trend had developed in some countries such as the "Subaltern Studies"group in Indian historical science. Our project also reexamined the results of "people's history" group in Japanese historical science with comparative view points in Modern history of Asia and found some problems which called for farther investigations.

众所周知，大众意识调查是日本历史科学的新动向之一。我们的项目调查了这一趋势如何与一些亚洲国家的历史科学共享，并确定了这一趋势在一些国家（例如印度历史科学中的“底层研究”团体）中得到了发展。我们的课题还用亚洲近代史的比较观点重新审视了日本史学“人民史”组的成果，发现了一些需要进一步研究的问题。
