Self-Reconfiguration for Wafer Scale Integrated Computer

科学家和设计师一直在挑战，以获得更多的电路和更多的功能在一个芯片上。圆片级集成技术是发展并行系统的一种很有前途的技术。WSI还有很多问题需要解决，本文的研究目的是研究一种自重构体系结构，在不需要全局信息的情况下，在晶圆级计算机上实现大规模并行计算机的重构。本文提出了一种基于旁路和自重构技术的网状互连多处理机系统的自重构算法。该算法不需要系统中故障PE的全局信息，适用于WSI实现，与需要系统全局信息的图算法相比，该算法在提高可靠性的同时，也提高了成品率。链路故障和交换机故障的可重构算法仍然是一个有待解决的问题。

Scientists and designers have been chalenging to get much more circuits and more functions on a chip. Wafer Scale Integration (WSI) is one of promising techonologies for developing massivelly parallel systems. There are a lot of problems remained to be solved in WSI.The aim of this research is to study a self-reconfigurable architecture which can achieve reconfigurations of massively parallel computer on Wafer Scale Computer without global information. We proposed a self-reconfigurable algorithm based on bypass and schift technieque for mesh-interconnection multiprocessor system. The algorithm does not required for the global information of fault PEs in the system which are suitable for WSI implementation.The proposed algorithm achieves both higher reliability and higher production yield than the graph algorithm which is requiered the global information of system. The reconfigurable algorithm for link faults and switch faults is still remained problems.
