1.イギリスにおいてサプライサイドの経済政策が登場してくるのは1960年代である。1950代後半から完全雇用とインフレ抑制が両立困難になる。1960年頃ヨーロッパとの経済成長、したがって、生活水準の格差が目に着くようになる。インフレ論がディマンドプル論からコストプッシュ論に転換する。所得政策のためのみならず、輸入依存度が高いイギリス経済においては支払能力を維持するためにも産業の国際競争力が補強されなければならない。2.イギリス産業政策は、国庫負担(支出または収入減)の観点からみるかぎり、諸形態(“Initial Allowance"“Inveatment Allowance"“Investment Grant")の投資促進=減価償却促進税制による投資誘因の提供と在庫益免税措置(“Stock Relief")のよる税制優遇措置を中心に展開されてきた。3.その他の固有の産業政策としては、地域政策、「国民的指示的計画」、戦略産業育成・強化政策、衰退産業(企業)救済政策、雇用政策、研究開発政策、等がみられるが、とくに地域政策的・雇用政策的配慮が優越的であり、これらは所期の目的に反して、かえって産業構造の高度化に逆動する作用を演じた。また、研究開発政策にみられる軍事産業的色彩の優越は市場成長部門の国際競争力強化へのスピンオフ効果を弱めた。4.国際競争力の強化=生産性上昇という目標は多くの国々に共通する産業政策の推進動機の一つであるが、いま一つの促進要因として、他国の産業政策の効果を中和化する対抗措置の要請がある。5.イギリス金融市場の国家的統制からの独立と世界市場的指向性は、産業政策における金融的手段の活用を制約し、日仏などに比較して産業政策の効果自体を制約した。

Other inherent industrial policies, regional policies,"national directive plans," strategic industrial development and strengthening policies, declining industry (enterprise) rescue policies, employment policies, research and development policies, etc., regional policies, employment policies, etc., are considered to be superior to each other. In addition, the research and development policy focuses on the advantages of the military industry and the strengthening of the international competitiveness of the market growth sector. 4. International competitiveness enhancement = productivity enhancement, objectives, common motives for promoting industrial policies in many countries, factors for promoting industrial policies in other countries, and effects of industrial policies in other countries. 5. The independence of the international financial market due to national control and the directivity of the world market restrict the use of financial means in industrial policies, and the effectiveness of industrial policies is restricted by comparison with each other.
