项目摘要

今回のテーマ「日本中世における商人団の経営組織と経営理念についての研究」の目的は、中世の商業=座商業が中世社会の展開のなかで、彼らの商業行為の基盤となる「経営理念」「経営組織」がどのように変容していくのかを追求・検討することにあった。この点の成果としては、(1)「八坂神社文書」「祇園社記」「祇園執行日記」の綿座関係の史料を分析して、本座と新座の相論が、中世の経済発展のなかで本来的な「座」の商業形態を固守しようとする本座と、新たな社会的要求(需要)に対応した商業形態を模索し始めた新座との「座」の経営理念をめぐる両者の争いである、と結論付けることができた。(2)「離宮八幡宮神社文書」の分析から、大山崎油神人と15世紀後半から地方に成立してくる油商人との相論は、中世から近世への転換期に対応する流通構造の変容のなかで「座」の経営論理・経営組織を貫こうとする大山崎油神人と新たな社会に対応した商業形態を追求しようとする「新儀商人」との対決であったと考えられる。すなわち、中世社会の転換点である14世紀(前期から後期へ)では座内部での経営論理を巡る新旧対決が起こり、さらに中世から近世への転換期には中世的な「座」の経営組織そのものの存在価値を問われる「座商人」と「座外商人」との対決が起きるという構図を描けるのではないか、と考えている。

The purpose of this paper is to study the development of business organization and management concept in the middle ages of Japan, and the basis of business behavior in the middle ages. (1) Analysis of historical data on the relationship between the "Yasaka Shrine Document,""Gion Society Record," and "Gion Executive Journal," and the business form of the "Gion" in the Middle Ages, the development of the "Gion" in the Middle Ages, the maintenance of the "Gion" business form, the requirements of the "Gion Society," the development of the "Gion" in the Middle Ages, and the development of the "Gion" in the Middle Ages. The conclusion is: (2)An analysis of the "Oyamasaki Shrine Documents" and the "Oyamasaki Shrine Documents" in the late 15th century. In the 14th century (early and late), the transition point of the Middle Ages society was the beginning of the new and the old, and in the middle ages, the transition period of the modern era was the beginning of the new and the old.
