Creation of time-resolved thermodynamics and application to elucidation of protein reaction mechanism

开创了一个新的科学研究领域“时间分辨热力学”，使热力学和动力学两个重要领域统一起来。这一新技术首次应用于生物蛋白反应机理的研究，并在时域内测量了各种热力学性质，如焓、偏摩尔体积、热容变化等。揭示了许多蛋白质反应的谱沉默动力学，建立了分子水平上的反应机理。

A new scientific research field "time-resolved thermodynamics" was created so that two important fields, the thermodynamics and the dynamics, are unified. This new technique was applied to researches of reaction mechanism of biological proteins and various thermodynamical properties, i.e., enthalpy, partial molar volume, heat capacity change and so on, have been measured in time domain for the first time. Many spectrally silent dynamics of protein reactions were elucidated and reaction mechanisms in molecular level have been established.
