In orthodontic treatment, it is very important to decide an effective treatment for each patient. However, at present, decision of orthodontic appliances such as design of orthodontic archwire in the multi-bracket method was made according to the operator's empirical experiences. In this study, based on the improvement of super-elastic Ti-Ni alloy orthodontic archwire and the development of computational analysis method, to make the model by Delaunay lattice formation , to construct the whole system by the optimization algorithm, and to establish the computer simulation system in expectation of a more efficient orthodontic treatment become possible.1. Tooth and PDL models were produced by Delaunay lattice formation .Modeling of teeth and periodontal tissues from patients of malocclusion was created. In addition, stress distribution on the periodontal tissues and tooth displacement when the orthodontic forces were applied was checked.2. Construction of static analytical model of non-linear material wireThe comparative examination between designed orthodontic archwire and actual orthodontic archwire was done.3. Construction of analytical model combining with tooth and periodontal tissue models and designed orthodontic arch wire modelTooth displacement and tooth movement when orthodontic forces were applied were investigated in the analytical model. And the periodontal tissues were made to change with the movement of the teeth under orthodontic force loads.4. Application of the optimization method to adjust the analytical modeExamination of this system with the optimization method was carried out.
