项目摘要

The purpose of this study was to establish non-metallic reagents of dental materials for patch tests and to investigate the biological responses against those antigens.1.First, we tried to analyze the constituents of some specific dental materials. However, we failed to do so after 6 month or so. Because of the lack time, we decided to perform patch tests among allergic patients using "as is" dental materials such as cements and resins. 65 patients were tested with "as is" materials and 24 patients were tested with single reagents. 10 control non-allergic volunteers were tested with "as is" materials as well. As a result, there were significant numbers of patch test positives among the allergic patients and even a healthy volunteer showed severe positive a resin. We have to study these non-metallic dental material allergies from now on.2.To study genetic differences between allergic patients and healthy individuals, we collected peripheral bloods out of 5 volunteers and proteomes were compared. As a result, we found approximately 10 putative proteins that might be playing some roles in the allergic reactions in the patients.
