研究目的:看護系大学の看護師・保健師の統合カリキュラムに助産師も含めた統合カリキュラムの開発研究のための準備調査を行うことを目的とした。研究方法:研究課題を3つに細分化して、3班で取り組んだ。第1班は助産師教育を行っている大学・短大・専門学校のカリキュラムの検討を行い、大学の統合カリキュラムにおける助産師教育の特性を明らかにする、ことを課題として、(1)各助産師教育機関のシラバス、学生便覧、実習要項、実習評価表等の既存資料の分析及び(2)大学における助産師教育に関する過去10年間の論文の内容分析を行った。第2班は卒業生の受け入れ先の関係者が期待する大学卒業の助産師の能力とその適応課程や新人教育プログラムの調査を課題として、(1)消費者ニーズの分析を新聞、雑誌等の記事の分析、(2)看護系大学の学生を対象にした「リプロダクティブヘルス・ライツに関する理解」についての質問紙調査によって、助産師教育プログラムがある大学とない大学間における比較分析、(3)学士課程で助産師教育を受けた助産師を対象にした面接による準備調査題を行った。第3班は、外国の大学における助産師教育の制度およびカリキュラム内容について調査し、その特徴を明らかにすることを課題として、(1)イギリス、オーストラリア、タイの3国における助産師教育について、大学のシラバス他の既存資料の分析、及び(2)タイへの訪問調査による関係者の面接調査を行った。結果:近年の少子高齢化及び医療の安全性の観点から大学及び大学院における教育が増加してきている。そのような社会情勢は助産師の不均衡を生むことが危惧される一方で、分娩例数の減少による助産師教育に大きな困難をもたらすと共に、社会のニーズも多様になってきた。それらの動向をふまえ、助産師育成のための大学の統合カリキュラムにおける助産師教育プログラム開発にあたっての課題と組織化の準備を行うことが出きた。報告書(A4版120頁)を作成し、関係者に配布した。
