项目摘要

１．西濃地域終末期古墳調査の実施：2022年度は西濃地域を中心とした美濃地域の終末期古墳の実態をあきらかにすべく、８月に綾戸古墳（垂井町）の墳丘測量を、また12月には南大塚古墳（垂井町）の墳丘および横穴式石室の実測調査を行い、それぞれの規模や築造年代を考察するともに、それらの歴史的価値について再評価をおこなうことができた。さらに両古墳および兜塚古墳の過去調査遺物の整理作業を通して、西濃地域終末期古墳の埋葬儀礼等に関する考究を実施した。その他、火塚古墳（坂祝町）の測量調査や赤色立体図に基づいた墳丘形状の調査を通して、美濃地域全体の後期・終末期古墳の実態をあきらかにし、その中での西濃地域の特性を導き出した。２．調査成果の社会発信の実施：科研事業成果の普及啓発活動として、2022年度は研究協力者の中井正幸により、垂井町および坂祝町で、講演や遺跡巡検を実施し、地元の歴史愛好家の皆さんの参加を得た。また測量調査の成果および不破関周辺の遺跡鳥瞰図についてのパネルを作成し、関ケ原町歴史民俗学習館・垂井町タルイピアセンター・大垣市歴史民俗資料館にそれぞれ展示した。坂祝町には火塚古墳の解説シートと古墳模型作成キット（300分の１）を提供した。３．キックオフシンポジウム「不破関と西濃の古代」の開催：科研事業の地元への周知を目的として、2023年３月11日に、キックオフシンポジウム「不破関と西濃の古代」を、関ケ原町ふれあいセンター小ホールにて実施し、関係者含め90名以上の参加者があった。研究代表者の梶原および、分担者の馬場・古尾谷・遠藤、協力者の中井が発表をおこない、討論の司会は分担者の三舟がつとめた。シンポジウムには関ケ原町長も出席し、また岐阜新聞社の取材を受けた。
