Level of human lactoferrin in whole saliva, research for risk factors for periodontal disease

本研究的目的是测量不同年龄组的全唾液中人乳铁蛋白的水平，并研究乳铁蛋白水平与牙周状况之间的关系。在10分钟内通过牙龈刺激收集来自供体（n=351）的全唾液样品。使用单克隆抗体通过酶联免疫吸附测定（ELISA）测定乳铁蛋白的水平。结果表明：1）60岁和70岁组乳铁蛋白水平显著高于30岁以下组; 2)乳铁蛋白水平和牙周状况之间的关系尚不清楚。

The purpose of this study was to measure the levels of human lactoferrin in whole saliva among various age groups and examine the relationship between levels of lactoferrin and periodontal status. Whole saliva sample from donors (n=351) were collected by gum stimulation in ten minutes. The levels of lactoferrin were determined by the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) using a monoclonal antibody. The results were as follows:1)The levels of lactoferrin in 60's and 70's year old group increased significantly than those under 30's year old groups. 2) Relationships between the levels of lactoferrin and periodontal status were unclear.
