项目摘要

本年度は、前年度に整備した基本周波数(F_0)パタ-ンの高精度分析・特徴抽出手法を用いて共通語・方言音声の韻律的特徴の分析を行うとともに、起伏型アクセントの語が連続する場合のF_0パタ-ンの特徴および無型アクセント方言に見られる上がりイントネ-ションの定式化、統語構造と韻律構造の対応関係、モ-ラの言語学的役割、強調と韻律的特徴の関係、に関する研究を進め、以下に示す実績をあげた。(1)全国21地域の話者の連続音声についてF_0パタ-ンの特徴抽出を行い、それらの特徴の異同を把握するとともに、統語情報・談話情報とF_0パタ-ンのフレ-ズ成分・アクセント成分との関係を明らかにした。(2)日本語音声におけるアクセント核の音響的特徴は、単にF_0パタ-ンの局所的な下降(ダウンステップ)としてではなく、生成過程のモデルにおけるアクセント指令、および統語・談話情報によるその振幅の変化の結果として、的確かつ定量的に表現しうることを示した。(3)無型アクセント方言の中には、文末に向かってF_0パタ-ンが上昇する場合が見られるが、生成過程のモデルに負のフレ-ズ成分を導入することによってこの現象を精度よく表現し得ることを示した。(4)「右枝分かれ制約」という統語構造からの制約が、日本語の音韻規則に広範囲に働く制約であることを確認し、日本語の音韻記述にも、モジュラ-文法の考え方が基本的にあてはまることを考察した。(5)語形成規則や吃音現象などのように人間の言語に共通して観察される現象でも、日本語と英語では異なる音韻単位により一般的な記述がなされるという知見を得た。(6)東京・大阪・茨城の話者による強調の音声デ-タを分析して、特徴を視覚化するとともに、強調部分の特徴を各種の観点から計測した。以上、ほぼ当初の計画通りに研究は進行している。
