项目摘要

重点領域研究「音声言語」は、わが国の主要な研究者の協力のもとに、音声言語によるマン・マシン・インターフェイスの高度化を目指すもので、総括班として、最終年度にあたる本年度は以下の実績をあげ、当初の目標を達成した。1.8件の音声処理プログラムを共用ソフトウェアとして選定し、操作性の整備・マニュアルの作成を行って各研究班へ配布した。2.各研究班の協力のもとに、既に収集した20名の音声のデータベース化を完了し、各研究班へ配布した。3.音声認識・理解、音声合成、音声対話のシステムの客観的性能評価法について系統的・総合的な検討を行い、評価法の指針を作成した。4.各研究班の研究成果を広くデモンストレーションすることを検討し、説明用ビデオテープの作成等を進めた。5.海外の一流の研究者を含めた国際シンポジウムを開催し、専門家による討議・意見交換を行った。裏面の〔図書〕の欄に示したような論文集を出版・配布した。海外の研究動向についても情報を得た。6.研究成果報告会を開催し、本重点領域研究の成果の討議・チェックを行うとともに、民間に周知した。裏面の〔図書〕の欄に示したような論文集を出版・配布した。7.総括班・研究代表者会議を開催し、成果・知見の交流、研究の進め方・まとめ方についての討議を行うとともに、関連した数班の個別の会議を企画し、それに総括班員を派遣して、進捗状況の把握、研究の進め方への助言を行った。8.ニューズレターを発行して、班間の連絡、研究の速報を推進した。9.英文と和文で成果刊行を進めることとし、内容・日程等の具体的検討を行った。英文はシンポジウム原稿をもとに既に暫定版を作成した。
