1.ツールの作成(1):研究代表者は1999-2000(平成11-12)年度計画研究において、標準的ギリシャ語共観書中の福音書テクストを比較検討し、その共通語を色染めし、コンピューターに入力編集した。更にはナグ・ハマディ文書中の「トマス福音書」の並行記事(ギリシャ語版)とヨハネ福音書の並行記事も、テキストボックスの様式でギリシャ語で打ち込んだ。全体をヴィジュアルに提示するツールが出来上がった。まもなくホームページで公表する。2.ツールの作成に対応する形で日本語共観表をおおむね作成した。現在微細な調整をしており、完成次第、岩波書店より出版する約束である。3.「古典の古典訳」計画:『改訂版・文語訳聖書』の試行作業として、ヨハネ福音書の改訂文語訳(脚注つき)を完成。今続編を作業中である。4.伝承変遷史研究:新約学におけるイエス伝承研究の全体を総括し、視点を拡張・深化させる目的をもって研究を続行した。そこで得られた、現在に至るまでのイエス研究史の総括的視野を、「総括班報告(イスラエル学)」の報告論文とした。また、イエス伝承が使徒パウロの中でいかに受容され、変容されたかの実態にも改めて注目し、2002年8月末には研究分担者と集中的な討論形式の共同研究を行った。これまで一般に考えられてきた事態とは逆に、パウロがイエス伝承およびその背後にあるイエスの生に深く規定させている様が再度結論された。また、1-2世紀間のイエス伝承に現れる、形態的可塑性と自己再生力の大きさは、昨年同様、明瞭に確認できた。そのことは逆に、イエスの名に託した、その伝承者(たち)のアイデンティティ構築行為であることが結論された。こうした伝承伝播の流れを踏まえ、1-2世紀間のいわゆる原始キリスト教の潮流を大きな時代史の中で再確認すべく、『聖書時代史--新約篇』を著した(2003年5月には刊行予定)。
