项目摘要

平成15年度以来継続してきた『中世墓資料集成』の編集作業は、北陸編、近畿編、北海道編を刊行し、本編に関してはすべて完了した。またこれに伴う研究会は、北陸(石川県野々市町)と近畿(奈良県奈良市)で会場を得てそれぞれ実施し、多数の意見交換が行われ、有意義な会となった。また、個別の課題に関する研究会も3回実施することができた。1)中世の遺棄葬奈良市に会場を得て他班の協力も得ながら実施し、中世に多くの遺体は遺棄されており、その事実を確認するとともに実際の事例を絵画や文献、考古資料に求めた。また人骨の細部観察から鳥獣類の餌となっていたことも明らかにされたが、遺棄「葬」なのかどうかは個別の事例を詳細に検討しなければならいことで一致した。2)中世の火葬奈良時代に導入された火葬が中世に再流行する契機や時期を探ることを課題とした。自然科学領域では火葬骨鑑定の問題、火葬骨の年代測定の問題をかかげ、特に年代測定では骨の状況によっては具体的な年代の計測が可能であることを示した。また人文考古領域では、火葬の再流行の年代を12世紀後半前後に置き、霊場信仰の高揚や、中世的イエ制度の確立などがその背景として提示された。3)世の石と墓石塔と地下の墳墓とをできるかぎり同列に扱おうとするのもで、これまでの研究の乖離現象に歯止めをかけるねらいがあった。事例発表のなかで、地下遺構の年代と上部に置かれた石仏との年代差について議論された。

The compilation work of the "Middle Ages Tombs Data Integration" since the 15th year of Heisei has been completed, published in Hokuriku, Kinki and Hokkaido.
