项目摘要

社会の成熟に伴って多様な価値観が存在するようになった。その中で一般に勝ち組、負け組と言われる二層が存在するようになり、それが教育格差をも生じさせている。また、学校教育においては、いじめ、不登校などの問題が深刻になるとともに、数学や理科における学力の低下という新たな課題も生まれてきている。特に後者は、科学技術創造立国を掲げる日本社会にとって憂慮すべき課題である。本研究は、それらの指摘を踏まえた上で、科学技術創造立国を支える学校教育のあり方を追究したいと考えた。平成17年度は社会が学校に何を期待するかや諸外国の学校事情等を調査し分析した。本年度においては次の調査等を行い、研究テーマに迫りたいと考えた。(1)子ども達の理科に対する意識調査(2)韓国や中国等における自然科学教育の実態調査(3)日本・中国・韓国の研究者を招いてのシンポジウムの開催これらを総合的に討議した結果、自然科学をバックボーンにした従来の理科学習に代わって職業観の育成等を組み込んだ理科学習や、現行の小・中・高の学校制度を見直す時期に来ているとの認識で一致した。この認識の是非を小中学校の教員に尋ねたところ、半数以上の教員が賛同を示した。二年間の研究期間ではあったが、学校教育の中における自然科学教育の課題を浮かび上がらせ、その解決に向けた提案をすることができたと考えている。

Social maturity is accompanied by a variety of factors. In general, there are two levels of success and failure, and there are two levels of education. The problem of school education is profound, and the problem of mathematics and science is low. In particular, science and technology have created a problem for Japanese society. This study is aimed at exploring the ways in which science and technology can be created. In 2017, we conducted a survey and analysis of what is expected of the society and schools and other foreign schools. This year's survey was conducted in the middle of the year. More than half of the teachers in primary and middle schools agree with this idea. During the two years of research, the topic of natural science education in school education was raised and solved.
