Studies on signaling molecules that regulates dynamics of neural network formation

神经回路是由调节细胞分化、轴突引导和突触发生的细胞外信号共同作用形成的。在这项研究中，我们重点研究了在硫酸肝素链中水解6- o -硫酸盐的新型磺化酶（SulfFP1和SulfFP2），以及参与溶血磷脂酸细胞外生产的Enpp2。我们已经表明，硫酸肝素和脂质介质的动态调节在神经发育中起重要作用。

Neural circuits are formed by the combined actions of extracellular signals that regulate cell differentiation, axon guidance, and synaptogenesis. In this study, we focus on novel sulfatases (SulfFP1 and SulfFP2) that hydrolyzes 6-O-sulfate in the heparan sulfate chain, and also on Enpp2 involved in extracellular production of lysophosphatidic acid. We have shown that dynamic regulation of heparan sulfate and lipid mediators plays important roles in neural development.
