项目摘要

すでに600年以上の活字印刷の歴史を有する朝鮮半島には、大小各種の銅活字(「鋳字」)・木活字(「木鋳字」)を使用した活字版の数は、四万Titleとも五万Titleあるという。当初から中国活字版の強い影響を受けて、活字版が作成されただけに、1434年に造字された甲寅字(衛夫人字)20万余字は、そもそも明朝初期の官板と同種であった。このように題箋、表紙の色合い、見返し、版形、版心、版心題、界、装幀などにしても、同時代中国の流行を模倣した。しかし朝鮮の大きな特徴は、金属活字が40種・木活字が25種ほど製作されたことである。ところで朝鮮活字研究の到達点を探るとき、多くの研究は、一つ一つの活字の来歴を中心として、論を展開し『朝鮮王朝実録』所載の関係記事、あるいは『(整理字版)国語』(咸豊9年7月内賜本巻末、浅見文庫所蔵<現在、UC Berkeley東アジア図書館>)などの識語などを一覧しながら、活字の制作年を探り、そしてその同一活字で印刷された若干の刊本を列挙した。本研究では、韓国ソウル大学校奎章閣、韓国国立中央図書館、蔵書閣(現、韓国学中央研究院所蔵)の3大コレクション(総計:活字版9307種、木版本:6821種、計16128種)をデータベース化して、格納された書誌情報を元にして、(1)庚午字や乙酉字などで制作された活字版の網羅(2)活字別の刷出時期調査、ピーク時と刊行のない時期など(3)従来、版心による年代推定を試みた韓国書誌学通説の再検討(4)四色党争による老論派や少論派など政治的Action Group別の活字使用などに考察を加えた。今年度は、特に活字別刷出時期を数値化することで、容易に刊行時期を観察できるようした。その結果、活字が制作されて、その当初に大量に刷出されるという常識を覆して、時期別に大きく変動することが判明するなど、新知見を多数入手した。
