项目摘要

本研究で実施した実績概要は、次の通りである。まず第一に、日本統治時代に設立された図書館の総数とそれぞれで購入された典籍類の総点数の統計的研究を実施し、かつ1945年に韓国側に引き渡された後の日本語古典籍の管理・保存状態の調査を行った。残念なことに、本研究補助金による海外調査が許されておらず、実態調査は必ずしも完壁であるとは言えないが、それでも韓国の公共図書館総数6738か所(1989年現在)の内の主要図書館30か所を選び、関係資料の有無を問い合わせ及び蔵書目録などの購入に努める一方、図書館学専門家からの情報と照らし合わせて、現存する約9300種の典籍を確認した。ほぼ現状は把握できたように思える。第二に、主として李氏朝鮮時代の実学者の文集調査を実施した。具体的には李徳懋・丁若〓など六名の、17〜19世紀にわたる実学者の文献調査を日本各地で行い、彼等が実見したと思われる日本語古典籍の書名を取り出した。その結果、およそ185種の文献を知り得た。たとえば『日本書紀』『倭名抄』『西宮記』『吾妻鏡』などを始めとし、日本文学関係では『新古今集』『続古今集』『続後撰集』『伊勢物語』『枕草子』『紀貫之集』『犬筑波集』『河海抄』など各時代、各ジャンルの古典籍の朝鮮への流入が判明した。それぞれがいかなる版本・古写本であるか、に関する研究は今後の課題として残さざるを得なかった。幸いにも、子孫の一人との連絡ができ、保存状態を問い合わせたところ、日本語古典籍は、十分に予想されたことであったが、読解出来ないと言う理由からまず仮名文字文献から消失したであろうし、次に残された『和漢三才図會』などの文献も朝鮮戦争で粉夫・焼却したと言う。第三に、個人蔵書香に対する調査では、まず多数の日本語古典籍の所蔵者として辛永吉氏・李栄夏氏など蔵書家の名前を知り得た。財産保全の為に所蔵品のリストを完全公開してはいないが、辛氏などの蔵書を間接に聞くところによると、日本でも国宝級の文学関係典籍(具体的書名は不明)を数点所蔵しているとのことである。
