平成29年度は本研究の最終年度として計画していたが、体調不良に伴う長期療養が必要となったため、計画に沿った研究活動を実施することが不可能であった。そのため研究期間の延長申請を行い、平成30年度の研究完成を目指すということで計画を大幅に変更した。平成29年度は現地での充実した活動が実施できなかったが、国内においてカンボジアで行う授業計画を話し合った。現地においては身体活動を実施する場の設定自体が非常に難しく、鬼遊びなど十分な空間を必要とする身体活動の実践はカンボジア国内すべての学校で実現することが非常に難しい状況であることがこれまでの調査でわかってきた。増え続ける子どもと、伸び続ける進学率にともなって学校数は急激に増加しているものの、体育授業の実施を想定した構造となっていない学校が多くを占めていることから、学校体育に対する意識が低いことは明白である。1クラスあたりの児童数が最大60名程度にもなるカンボジアにおいて、一斉に十分な運動量の体育授業を展開するのは非常に困難であり、また、今後さらに子どもの数が増えることが予想されるカンボジアにおいて実施可能な体育授業を考案することは、当初の予想よりも難しくなっていると考えている。今後はこのような、校庭がほぼないような学校でも実践できる活動、または児童数が非常に多い中で手狭になる環境を考慮した内容にも着目して運動実践の内容を検討していきたいと考えている。
