Publishing a World History Textbook for Liberal Arts Based on the Latest Research

在全国范围内（部分国际）与高中和大学教师的合作中，我们的目标是编写（高中和大学）历史教师手册和教材，以及文科水平的世界史教科书。根据高中和文科教育的最新研究成果和现状，我们发表了六篇数据论文，包括各种评论和报告，最终出版了一本名为《公民的世界史》的世界史教科书。除了这些出版物，我们还与全国和地方（神奈川、北海道等）高中教师组织、大学和研究团体（福冈大学、日本东南亚研究会）、地方政府（酒井市）以及韩国、中国和美国的外国学者等进行了关于历史教育的联合研究和讨论。

In a nation-wide (and partly international) cooperation with high-school and university teachers, we aimed at compiling history teachers' (of both high schools and universities) handbooks and teaching materials, and a textbook of world history for liberal arts level. Based on the latest research achievements and situations of high-school and liberal arts educations, we published six data papers including various commentaries and reports, and finally published a textbook of world history entitled "A World History for Citizens". Along with these publications, we undertook joint research and discussions regarding history education with various counterparts such as national and local (Kanagawa, Hokkaido and so forth) organizations of high school teachers, universities and research societies (Fukuoka University, Japan Society for Southeast Asian Studies), local government (Sakai city), and foreign scholars from South Korea, China and the United States for instance.
