本研究の目的は、国際バカロレア規準を導入した国内外の学校の質的変化について、特に芸術教育プログラムに着目し、そのカリキュラムから教員養成の実際までを調査することであった。国際バカロレア（以下IB）とは国際バカロレア機構が認定校に対して提供する教育パッケージであり、年齢に応じた３つのプログラム（初等3歳～12歳、中等11歳～16歳、ディプロマ16歳～19歳）を提供している。IBは世界中の2000以上の学校において採用されており、グローバルでローカルな（グローカルな）学習を重視する方針は多くの国で賛同を得ている。日本では今年3月文部科学省の懇談会が「グローバル社会で活躍できる人材」を育成するために「国際バカロレア機構の認定校を日本の公立学校でも増やす必要がある」と提言し、2018年までにディプロマ認定候補校を200校に増やすという具体的数値を打ち出した。国際バカロレアのプログラムは国際社会で必要となされる創造性、コミュニケーション力、表現力の育成を目指しており、我が国でも文部科学省によって導入が検討されている。国際バカロレアによってどのような教育変化がもたらされるのか、公立学校での導入の際にどのような問題が予想されるのか、芸術教育が国際バカロレアにおいてどのような役割を果たすのか、本研究では国内外の認定校においてケーススタディを行うことを企図した。本研究は、研究遂行者の海外移動により８ヶ月で停止を余儀なくされた。この間、オーストラリアおよび香港にてケーススタディを行った。それぞれのケースで授業観察およびインタビューを行った。特に後者の香港日本人学校では貴重な情報を得ることができた。データの分析などはこれからの作業である。結果のまとめと発表を今後の課題としたい。

Special Japanese schools in Hong Kong are valuable information. The analysis of the problem is very difficult. The results show that the future of the project.
