本年度は本総合研究総括の年であり、10月までを各分担者の個別研究の充実の期間とし、10月末に最終合同研究会を持った。その研究会では各研究者から、工芸、抽象美術、映像、産業美術、そして建築などの各分担テ-マについての研究の総括の方向が示され、活発な議論がおこなわれた。上記の研究会以後、更に各分担研究者間で、最終的な研究報告書のあり方についての調整がなされ、それぞれの執筆内容が以下のように決定された。上平「美術史とデザイン史との間」鈴木「デザイン史と現代工芸」池上「額縁の東洋風デザイン」佐野「フランス・ア-ル・デコにおけるモダン・デザインの要素」宮島「抽象美術とデザイン史」吉積「現代美術とカメラ映像」渡辺「造形的概念としての有機的なもの」藪「産業美術とデザイン史」藤田「ハイ・ヴィクトリアンとポスト・モダン」以上の通りである。11月から各自、研究報告の執筆にとりかかり、それぞれの論文のタイトルには副題が付けられたりするなど、多少の変更はあるものの、基本的に上掲の内容で、報告論文集は校正の段階にある。時間的にも空間的にも多元的に錯綜する美術史とデザイン史との関係構造の解明に向けての一歩となれば幸いである。
