単純Lie環の表現論の立場からEuler-Poissonの微分方程式を研究した.2次の行列空間には左と右からGL(2)がかけ算で作用し,更にLie環sl_2がこれらと可喚に作用する.本研究ではまず,Euler-Poissonの微分作用素は射影直線の二つの直積の上の直線束へのsl_2のCasimir作用素の作用を変数分離したものとして得られることを示した.この事実の応用として,Euler-Poisson方程式やその解について知られていた種々の性質を表現論から説明できる.まず3つのGL(2)の作用が交換可能であることから解の空間はGL(2)の表現空間であることが従う.このことは,従来は微分作用素の具体的な計算によって確かめられていたことであったが,上の説明では群の作用の可喚性から自然に従う.次に,右からのGL(2)のかけ算は直線束(すなわち主系列表現)のパラメータの指定に持ちいられている.従ってパラメータを増減させるLaplace作用素を昇降演算子としてとして捕らえることができる.特にLaplace作用素全体の満足する交換関係がリー環gl_2の交換関係から自然に導かれた.この解釈の有効性の一つは,ここで使われている概念が通常の群のみならず量子群の文脈にも適切に置き換えられることである.この方面への応用は大阪大の永友清和らによって着手されている.また,GL(2)の主系列表現からEuler-Poisson方程式の解空間へのintertwining作用素を積分変換として構成できた.これはAppellの2変数超幾何関数や球関数の積分表示に応用された.これらに関連して,普遍展開環U(gln)の中心のGelfand生成元とCapelli生成元に関する研究発表を行った.この研究は京都大の梅田亭らの研究へと発展した.また塩田徹治のMordell-Weil格子の理論に触発されて,例外型ルート型をルートの長さだけから特徴づけられることを発見し論文として提出した.

A study of the differential equations of pure Lie rings from the standpoint of the representation theory of pure Lie rings is made. The left and right of Lie rings GL(2) act on each other, and Lie rings sl_2 act on each other. In this study,Euler-Poisson's differential action is shown to be numerically separable from the action of Casimir's action on the direct product of projective lines. The integral expression of the number of supergeometric relations and spherical relations is used. The study of the relationship between the Gelfand generator and Capelli generator in the center of the universal expansion ring U(gln) is presented. The research on this topic is on the rise in Kyoto. Also, the theory of Mordell-Weil lattice by Tsutomu Masuda revealed that the characteristics of exceptional cell types have disappeared.
