项目摘要

本年度は５月に出産をしたため、5月～１月出産・育児のための採用中断（内8月～1月研究準備支援期間）を申請した。8月からは研究準備支援期間に入り、少しずつ研究を進めたが、育児中心で、泊まりがけの出張等ができない状況であったため、資料整理や論文執筆など机上でできる作業が中心となり、現地調査や研究報告を行うことはできなかった。また、昨年度行っていた譲位についての研究は本年度進めることができなかったため、研究成果のまとめは来年度行う予定である（特別研究員の任期は9月まで延長されている）。こうした中、本年度は①『日本古代の女帝と譲位』の刊行、②光仁朝の皇統意識および③後宮制度の再編過程についての研究、④正倉院文書の調査を行った。①は平成27年度科学研究費補助金（研究成果公開促進費）の交付を受け、2015年11月に刊行した。2011年に提出した博士論文の内容がもととなっているが、一部、本研究課題の成果も含まれている。②は昨年度から行っていた光仁朝の位置づけに関する研究で、奈良時代の天智系王族および光仁朝の天武系王族の位置づけを分析することで、光仁朝における皇統意識を明らかにした。③は1年目に行った後宮再編についての研究を補完するもので、2年目以降行ってきた「母后」に関する研究を進める中で明らかになった皇后宮移転についての新見解、および上記②の光仁朝の位置づけを踏まえ、令外キサキである女御の成立などの後宮再編が、光仁朝ではなく桓武朝を起点に始まることを明らかにした。④は1年目から行ってきた「母后」に関する研究のための調査である。本年度は出産・育児のための中断期間をはさむことから、調査補助のための学生アルバイトを雇用し、調査を進めた結果、奈良時代の皇后宮の様相などが明らかとなり、上記③の研究につなげることができた。
