本研究は「福祉施設におけるDF（デジタルファブリケーション）の主体的活用について、ユーザーとテクノロジーの接点から課題を明らかにし、福祉の現場への技術導入のハードルを下げる要件について検討すること」を目的としている。2022年度は「ユーザー視点によるDFの機能や効果の明確化・動機付けの要素・導入の障壁とその対応」を明らかにすることを目的に、 研究分担者と共に、国内でデジタル工作機械を実践的に活用している福祉施設を対象に、DFの「道具」「場」「支援」の３つの観点から利用実態を把握するためのアンケート調査および訪問調査を実施した。訪問調査では、事前に実施したアンケート調査結果に基づき、対象施設でのDF利用当事者の活用の実例や現場の観察、施設担当者へのインタビュー調査を行った。その結果、障がいのある人が利用する４つの福祉施設から、上記３つの視点におけるDF活用実態と課題について情報収集することができた。特に次年度の調査につながる重要な視点として、DFを活用する施設側の具体的なステークホルダーを明らかにすることができた。これによってそれぞれの福祉施設におけるDF利用に関するステークホルダーの特徴や関わりを基に、よりよいDFの活用のあり方を導き出すポイントになると考えられる。一方で福祉施設の理念や活動は多様であることから、１年目の調査で対象としたタイプ以外の施設への調査を継続して実施し、具体的な課題を視覚化するためのステークホルダーマップを作成予定である。
