1.経営環境の急速な変化に伴い、企業形態をめぐる現行の諸制度は実態にそぐわないようになってきたため、現在、法務当局の手で、会社法の改正のための検討作業が進められており、元年度中にも改正試案が少しずつ具体化してきた。本研究では、発表される試案に注目しつつ、法制と現実とが具体的にどこでズレを生じているのかを整序した。2.日本の企業形態の諸実態がよって来たる由来を明確にするため、会社制度が導入された明治期初頭の歴史的事実を詳細に調査し、筋道を忠実に即して体系化した。3.現実の諸事情を複雑にしている要因は,一つには企業格差の増大である。同じ株式会社といっても上場企業と実質的に個人企業と変わらない小企業とでは、余りにも格差があり、これらを一緒くたにして法制を適用することには土台、無理がある。本研究では、多くの諸県の行政機関や地場産業企業を対象に、小企業経営の実態を調査した。また、大企業グル-プに属する子会社の位置についても、たんなる規模という視点をこえた質的属性の追求を試みた。4.企業形態を考える上で、いわゆる私企業との対比において公企業、協同組合との比較研究は欠かせない。本研究では、日本の公企業、協同組合の実態についても、生きた情報、資料を多く収集した。5.企業形態の研究は、従来より開始してきたが、それらの研究に本年度の成果も加えて、ひとまず整理できた体系を、近々、一冊の著書にまとめる予定でいる。企業形態関係の分野では日本の企業実態をとり上げたものが少なかったので、必ずしも大著ではないが学問的に寄与するところは小さくなかろうと確信している。6.企業形態の制度的見直しのためには国際比較研究が不可欠であるがこの点についてはなお残した点が多く、今後の課題としたい。
