1.基礎的作業として、(1)ドイツ本国での先行研究、(2)ペスタロッチ教授法導入にかかわった当事者や改革期の教育諸史料、(3)ペスタロッチの許への派遣留学生の記録・書簡、(4)教育政策担当者のペスタロッチ評価に関する諸史料、(5)プロイセン教員養成制度史料等を、主としてマイクロフィルムによって入手し、その分析を行った。2.以上の諸作業を通じて、ペスタロッチ教授法導入過程の時期区分について、おおよその知見を得ることができた。また、改革期以前において、メトーデ導入の準備が予想以上に進められていたことも判明した。メトーデ評価の推移、改革担当者とペスタロッチとのかかわり方の推移、教員養成政策の展開を機軸に、おおよその時期区分を示すと以下の通りである。(1)改革前-(a)マッソウ文相就任からF.W.III世の民衆学校改善指示(1799)まで、(b)同年の高等宗務局報告及び「学校改革のための一般計画」(1801)策定期、(c)「新ベルリン月報」誌上、高等学務委員会内外でのペスタロッチ教授法をめぐる論争開始、メトーデの実施調査開始(1803)から、国王の暫定指示(1805)まで、(d)実験学校設立期(1805年プラーマン)、(2)改革前半期-(a)政策担当者によるペスタロッチ教授法導入準備期(1808-9)(b)留学生派遣及びC.A.ツェラーのプロイセン招聘期(1811-13)、(c)B.L.ナトルプの教育改革関与期(1811-13)、(3)改革後半期-ゼミナール制度及び卒業試験制度改革の展開期(1812,13年以降)。3.更に、本研究において、教育改革の理念(人間教育と国民教育)の形成過程にあって、ペスタロッチ教授法の技術的側面並びに児童に着目しての内発的・開発教授法的側面への評価が交錯することも明らかとなった。4.今後の研究計画としては、ペスタロッチ教授法の導入過程を、プロイセン改革全体の推移並びに教員養成制度改革の展開と結合させて、より実証的に明らかにしたい。
