The main purposes of this study were to develop a test for estimating the co-ordination ability of strength exertion (TCAS) and to examine its statistical validity, reliability, objectivity, and practicability. The following variables were also examined : the grip strength exertion traits (GT) until maximal grip strength (Fmax) measured and analyzed by a personal computer system, the relationships between GT and physique, physical fitness and motor ability tests, and the endurance of grip strength exertion (EG). The findings in this study can be summarized as follows: 1.(1)A value of Fmax has relatively high validity and reliability. It has some relation with grip strength concentrated exertion. (2)Individual variations for the exertion pattern of grip strength (PG) existed. (3)PG was inferred to differ by giving direction (exerted until Fmax at a stretch). GT was also differ in various athletic events. 2.(4)Significant differences between grip strength obtained by Smedley spring dynam … More ometer and a digital displayed dynamometer tests were not found and the correlation coefficient between both tests was not so high, but significant. (5)GT showed insignificant correlations with variables representing physique, physical fitness, and motor ability. 3.(6)Co-ordination by EG can enforce with the range of 50% or less in Fmax. It can estimate both a maximal lag and the sum total of lag between the demand and EG value. 4.(7)TCAS was performed for 3 kinds of description forms (number, bar chart, wave) on display of personal computer. Bar chart and wave description forms were effective with 0.3Hz, 0.1Hz of sinusoidal wave form performed for about 30 seconds respectively. (8)Tracking was an effective method with the range of demand value of from 5% to 25% of Fmax. (9)The change of TCAS measurement value is stable within three trials. (10)It seems that TCAS (bar chart and wave) developed in this study was effective tests because they show relatively high validity, reliability, objectivity, and practicability. Less
