项目摘要

現在のコンピュータシステムの上では、マルチメディア文書の編集と管理、データベースの管理・検索や電子メイルの授受などのサーバ・システムに加えて、種々のアプリケーション・システムによる情報処理が行われている。しかし、これらは互いに独立な文書やシステムとして開発されており、そのことがソフトウェア資源の再利用を難しくし、独立に開発された複数のシステムの組み合せ機能連携と統合組織化を困難にしている。文書やソフトウェア等の知的資源を共有財産と見なし、社会におけるその蓄積を促進するには、流通による資源の活用を活性化し、その組合せにより創造される新しい資源の生産を活性化することが必要である。しかし、現状ではこれは不可能である。本研究では、アクティブ・メディアの部品化と機能合成と流通の機能を持ったプラットフォームを開発することにより、知的資源のジェネリックな部品化、合成編集機能の付与、活用可能形態での流通機能の付与などを実現した。(1)パッドの流通を可能にするプラットフォームの開発Smalltalk-80を使って既に開発が完了しているSmalltalk版IntelligentPadを、C^<++>を用いて移植した。これにより、パッドのグラフィカル・インタフェース部と機能定義部を各種のマシンで活用可能な流通可能形態にした。(田中譲、岡田義広、村田利文)(2)基本パッド群の設計各種のマン・マシン・インタフェース部品パッド、ファイル管理パッド、メイル・パッド、テキスト・パッド、図表パッド、計算パッド、各種データ変換パッドなど、種々のアプリケーションに頻繁に必要となるような機能をパッドとして抽出した。(田中譲、村田利文)(3)データベース部品パッド群、グループウェア部品パッド群、マルチメディア部品パッド群の設計データベース管理・検索処理、グループウェア処理、マルチメディア処理の各々に必要な機能とマン・マシン・インタフェースを部品化し、パッドとしての実現法を検討した。(田中譲、山本章博、林世紀)
