The results of this study will be summed up to the next three points.(1) This is the first complete Japanese translation of the text. The letters of Descartes to Elisabeth are mostly translated into Japanese, but the letters of Elisabeth to Descartes, almost forgotten, though they are also importaint. This study throws light, I believe, on the correspondence between the two.(2) This explains a development of the cartesian philosophy through a criticism of Elisabeth. The Letters of Elisabeth shows that she was against almost every cartesian theme, such as the famous mind-body problem, the control of the passions, the supreme goodness and etc. But this severe criticism gave Descartes a good opportunity to reconsider and develop his philosophy.(3) This is a good historical document, which shows a life in the 17th century Europe. There are many specific topics of the epoch, such as a spa, a superstition, the illness, a life in the palace, the 30 Years War, and etc. These topics are very useful for us to understand the mind and the sentiment of the people living in the 17th century Europe.

本研究的结果将归纳为以下三点。(1)这是第一个完整的日文翻译文本。笛卡尔写给伊丽莎白的信大多被翻译成日语，但伊丽莎白写给笛卡尔的信几乎被遗忘，尽管它们也很重要。我相信，这项研究揭示了两者之间的对应关系。(2)这解释了通过对伊丽莎白的批评发展的卡尔加里哲学。从《伊丽莎白的书信》中可以看出，她反对笛卡尔的几乎所有主题，如著名的身心问题、激情的控制、至善论等，但这种严厉的批判却给笛卡尔提供了一个反思和发展其哲学的好机会。(3)这是一份很好的历史文献，展示了17世纪世纪欧洲的一种生活。有许多具体的时代主题，如温泉，迷信，疾病，生活在宫殿，30年战争等，这些主题是非常有用的，我们了解的思想和感情的人生活在17世纪世纪欧洲。
