项目摘要

室町期文芸の基層である連歌における源氏物語の受容とそれに依拠した創作活動の実態の解明という本研究の課題において、本年度は源氏物語を本説とした連歌作品の注釈を通じて室町連歌がとりあげた源氏物語の表現についての分析と考察を中心に行った。その結果として得られた知見は以下の通りである。1、15世紀末から16世紀前期にかけて成立した二種の源氏詞連歌の注釈を通じて、源氏詞として選定された語句は同時代に通行した源氏物語原典の本文にほぼ正確に依拠したものであり、それが原典の文脈においても意味的に相互関連し合うなど、原典本文への密着度合いは極めて顕著である。これを、それ以前の源氏寄合に依存した連歌の句作りに比較すると源氏本文に対する知識や理解の深さ、正確さは、源氏詞連歌において飛躍的に増大している。2、上記の源氏詞連歌が成立した時期は、宗祇によって純正連歌が完成され、やがて三条西家の古典学と連動する、宗祇をはじめとした連歌師達の古典学が盛んになった時期とほぼ重なっている。これ以降の連歌の源氏物語摂取は、一般的に前時代までよりも格段に正確で、深い理解と鑑賞に裏打ちされたものとなっている。宗祇の確立した純正連歌の古典への姿勢とこのような源氏受容の動向は一連のものであり、源氏詞連歌という試み自体もこうした時代の源氏受容のありようの一環であることが推察される。3、和歌における源氏物語摂取、特に詠源氏和歌、源氏巻名歌などに用いられた源氏取り表現が連歌における源氏取り表現と同一である事例が多数見出された。和歌と連歌という異なる表現の位相が源氏物語の表現を介することによって、その境界が解消される現象が明らかになった。源氏の表現が権威となって、ジャンルの表現意識を越えた新たな規範を形成した点で甚だ注目すべき事象が発見された。4、以上1〜3から、室町期の歌人や連歌師の源氏受容の方法について宗祇を境に画期的な転換が起こったことが明らかとなった。今後は連歌・和歌における源氏物語受容をとりまく様々な問題や環境を具体的に解明するために、連歌・和歌の詠まれる「場」の問題について、公家日記などの記録類・史料の博捜、分析が必要であろう。
