研究計画に基づき研究を行い、下記のような成果を得た。1.与えられた3次元Euclid空間R^3の極小曲面をGauss写像とHopf微分を不変にしながら3次元双曲型空間H^3の平均曲率1の曲面へ変形する問題について、東北大のWayne Rossman氏および熊本大の山田光太郎氏との共同研究により、一つの充分条件を与えることに成功し、多くの対称性をもつ、genusの高いH^3の完備有限全曲率をもつ平均曲率1の曲面を数多く新しく構成した。さらに上述の研究過程において、H^3の平均曲率1の曲面の双対性が本質的に重要な役割を果たすことが判明した。この双対性の応用として与えられたGauss写像とHopf微分をもつH^3の平均曲率1の曲面の変形空間が初期曲面の性質に応じてH^3の0、1あるいは3次元の全測地的部分多様体の構造をもつことを証明した。2.上述の問題に関連し、本研究では、「総和が0になるベクトルの組を与えたとき、それらをフラックス・ベクトルとしてもつR^3の極小曲面が存在するか」というフラックス公式の逆問題に取り組み、エンドの数が4の場合には大阪大学の加藤信氏、熊本大学の山田氏と共同研究によってこの問題は総和が0のほとんど全てのベクトルの組に対して逆問題が解け、一方では、逆問題が解けないような例外的なベクトルの組があることも明らかにした。3.上記の研究のため、幾何、解析、代数の図書を必要の応じ購入し、さらに研究会およびシンポジウム等に参加し、多くの研究者と研究連絡を行った。
