1.本研究は、「満州建設勤労奉仕」の成立から崩壊までの全期間を対象とし、以下の諸点に焦点を合わせて基礎的知見を獲得することを目的としている。(1)「満州建設勤労奉仕隊」の立案過程を解明すること。(2)組織態様の変化と所轄官庁の関与を様相とを解明すること。(3)派遣作業とその実態とを解明すること。(4)「満州」移民事業における「満州建設勤労奉仕隊」の位置を解明すること。2.本年度は、基礎的史料の所在調査および根本史料の発掘を主眼として、以下の諸点に関する調査研究を遂行した。(1)主に前記研究目的の(1)および(2)の達成のために、関連各省庁の公文書および通達文書について調査研究を行なった。(2)主に前記研究目的の(3)の達成のために、(1)『満州日々新聞』等の遂次刊行物における関係記事、(2)学校文書・学校史等における関係記述、(3)による回想記録類について調査研究を行なった。3.上記の調査研究で得られた知見を総括的に述べれば、(1)立案過程に関する根本史料はきわめて少ない、(2)組織態様の変化と所轄官庁の関与の様相とについては遂次刊行物等から得られる情報を加味すればある程度の推移を把持できる、ということになる。「満州建設勤労奉仕隊」立案の要因であり、かつまたそこから独自の展開過程を示した「興亜学生勤労報国隊」の追究を同時に進めることが今後の課題である。
