The Cultural Exchange between Japanese and Chinese Literati in Meiji 10's

本研究的目的是分析明治10年代中日文人之间的文化交流，特别是第二和第四任中国驻日本公使李叔昌及其日本友人。在这学期的project中，我发表了一些后来列出的论文，但我还有很多课题（例如MIYAJIMA Seiichirou documents）没有解决，所以我会继续研究。著名文人胡季诺开南和他的女儿辛子，他们是李大臣及其情妇的朋友。李写了墓志铭关心虎野，也为小三写了墓志铭。新子是李的随从陈楚的朋友。这些友谊在甲午战争前的明治时代非常重要。李氏图书目录是这一时期中国文人个人图书馆的典范，我们可以发现许多日本作家的书籍。这是他为日本做研究的结果。陈帮助编辑了中国使节傅云龙所著的《纪笔琴世志》，这本书显示了他们对日本文化财产的兴趣。这也是两国文化交流的一个例子。另外，我还调查了著名学者罗振宇和日本著名汉学家内藤柯南之间的友谊。

The aim of this research project is to analyze the cultural exchange between Japanese and Chinese literati in Meiji 10s, especially on Li shu-chang, the second and fourth Chinese minister to Japan, and his Japanese friends. In this term of project, I published some theses later listed, but I have many subjects (e.g. MIYAJIMA Seiichirou documents) which are not solved, so will continue to research.HUJINO Kainan, a famous literati and his daughter Shinko, they were friends with minister Li and his mistress. Li wrote the epitaph concerned HUJINO, also wrote Shinko the epitaph for the mistress. Shinko was friends with Li's attendant Chen Chu. These friendship were important in this Meiji era before the Sino-Japanese war. The catalog of Li's books is a model of Chinese literati personal library in this period and we can find many books written by Japanese author. This is a result of his research for Japan.Chen helped to edit "Jih-pen chin-shih-chih" written by Fu yun-lung, the envoy from China, this book shows their interests in Japanese cultural properties. This is also an example of cultural exchange between the two countries. As a by-product, I investigated about friendship between Lo Chen-yu, an eminent scholar, and NAITO Konan, a famous Japanese sinologist.
