项目摘要

幼児期の自己認識の構造化の過程を明らかにするために、4〜6歳児を対象に(1)自分自身の時間的発達的変化(自己形成視)、(2)自分自身の顔や体(自己多面視)、(3)自分の持つ機能や特質をどう認識しているかを描画と面接によって調べた。京都市の民間保育所に在籍する幼児43名(横断群)と2名(縦断群)を対象とし、(1)自己形成視:幼少時、現在、そして成人時の自分の姿を描画表現させ変化を質問した。(2)自己多面視:自己全身像の三方向描画課題で「自分の顔と体を、前、後ろ、横から見たところ」を描くよう求め、描画後に相違点を質問した。また中間概念の形成水準を推定するために系列円描画課題(徐々に大きさが増す円の描画)および新版K式発達検査を実施した。自己形成視は5つの過程を経て形成された。1)変化を未認識。2)変化を表現し始めるが大小関係不明確。3)身体の量的拡大を正確に表現。4)身体各部位の変化を指摘。5)姿勢・歩き方・服装・生活方法などの変化を表明。DA5歳代で発達年齢を停滞させつつ自己認識の構造化が図られる傾向にあった。三方向描画での横向き画はDA5歳後半に50%、6歳半ばに80%水準を通過した。直接目に見えない自分の姿を表象して背後や横から見た自画像が描け始めるともに、目に見えない自分の時間的・発達的変化をイメージする力が形成され、最初は量的変化そしてDA6歳以後に質的・内面的な変化の認識が深まる。教育的に組織された社会的諸関係の中で多面的な自己概念の形成が図られ、個別の諸機能が自己表現として統合され生かされて初めて個別機能の形成が進む。さらに、不可視の側面や変化をとらえることによって自己の発達や人類の歴史は新たに発見される。自己の特質を見出す目は他者の特質を精細に評価する貴重な力となって他者との新たな関係を構築し、人類共通の普遍的な価値の認識につながるだろう。
