今年度は、ジェレミー・ベンタムの功利主義に基づく政治思想を中心に研究し、それを口頭で発表したものをベースにした論文を現在校正中である(『公共性の哲学を学ぶ人のために』に収録)。また、功利主義的立場から生命倫理における臓器移植の問題について学会発表を行ない、発表に基づいた論文を現在執筆中である。1.ベンタムの政治思想に関しては、口頭発表に基づき、「何のための政治参加か--19世紀英国の政治哲学に即して--」という論文を現在校正中である。これは、ベンタムやジェームズ・ミル、ジョン・ステュアート・ミルの政治思想をもとにして、デモクラシーにおける二つの政治観(経済学的な理解と、参加や討議を通じた公共心の育成を強調する理解)を対比的に描き出し、政治参加における公共精神の役割を検討するものである。2.ベンタムの功利主義思想の応用として、生命倫理学の分野で、「慢性的な臓器不足問題についてのささやかな提案」という口頭発表を学会で行なった。これは、富の再配分の問題に関するベンタムの議論を参考にして、現在見直しが喫緊の課題となっている脳死・臓器移植法に関する提案を行なうものである。とくに、今日の英米圏で問題になっている限定的市場化や臓器提供の義務化の議論を検討し、提供臓器の慢性的不足を解決するために提案されている臓器移植に関する推定同意制、報償制度、市場化、義務化の持つ倫理的問題について、比較検討を行なった。現在、この発表に基づいた論文を執筆中である。

This year's study of utilitarianism, the basis of political thought, and the present correction of the thesis ("Philosophy of Public Nature"). From the standpoint of utilitarianism, bioethics, organ transplantation and other problems, the society has developed a basic theory and a paper is now being written. 1. The political thought of the 19th century is related to the oral expression,"What is the political participation of the 19th century British political philosophy?" The political thinking of the two groups (economic understanding, participation in discussion, communication, public awareness, emphasis on understanding), the political participation, and the public spirit of the two groups are discussed in detail. 2. The application of utilitarian thought in the field of bioethics, the division of bioethics, the proposal of "chronic shortage of equipment" and the oral expression of learning. This paper presents a proposal on how to solve the problem of redistribution of resources. In addition, in today's British society, the issue of limited market-oriented equipment supply and compulsory discussion, the issue of providing chronic deficiencies in equipment supply, the issue of presumptive consent system, compensation system, market-oriented and compulsory ethics, and the issue of comparative review are discussed. Now, this paper is being written.
