项目摘要

本研究の一貫として、西南学院大学と隣接する西新小学校と協力することにより、国際理解をテーマに、お互いの授業交流と研究体制ができた。昨年の教科書問題を乗り越え、韓国の釜山の南川小学校との長年の国際理解教育活動に参加すると同時に、慶星大学との国際交流と共同研究を始めることができた。しかし、アメリカのニューヨークでの爆弾テロ事件の影響を受けて、カナダ・アメリカへの調査研究を中止しなければならなくなった。また、本研究の協力組織である環太平洋乳幼児教育学会が2000年に日本神戸で設立され、2001年はニュージーランドで国際会議を開催したが、参加できなかった。しかし、2002年開催の中国上海での発表を予定している。したがって、今年度は、韓国では、ソウルの梨花女子大学等との共同研究や国際会議での発表の機会を得ることができ、中国では、これまでの国際交流校である吉林大学(長春)や河北大学(保定)等での資料収集や、華束師範大学(上海)を始め、北京師範大学(北京)・天津大学(天津)等との協力研究者を得られ、オーストラリアでは、マッコーリィ大学(シドニー)を始め、ブリスベン・ゴールドコースト・メルボルン等の幼稚園や小学校等での研究資料の収集ができた。本企画調査は、平成14年度より、同研究課題による海外学術調査(国際共同研究)に発展させていく予定であり、準備段階としては、十分な成果が得られたと考えられる。今後、環太平洋地域における幼年期の総合的な学習カリキュラムの現状を把握することにより、保育・教育現場と大学機関等との連携システムの方向性を探り、日本・アメリカ・カナダ・オーストラリア・韓国・中国・香港・台湾地域等の幼児期から児童期前期にかけての保育・教育制度並びに保育・教育内容と方法に関する国際比較研究を試みると同時に、『総合学習』のテーマである国際理解・環境・健康教育に関する幼小一貫カリキュラムの学習教材のIT化を目指し、インターネット上に公開していきたい。
