Japan-Europe comparative study about the environmentally sustainable residential system which control automobile use -an evaluation of Car-free housing projects -

欧洲有近20个无车住房项目。它们是无车居住的可持续住宅区。我们研究了12个无车住房项目，其中8个在德国，其他在苏格兰、荷兰、奥地利和丹麦。我们将这些项目评估为可持续社区，并在日本寻求可能的条件如下：1.它们中的一些实现了良好的环境条件，绿色、开放空间、平静和安全。2.它们也是环境可持续的、对社区友好的社区.3.它们几乎是负担得起的住房，因为它们不需要太多的停车设施。4.它们减少了汽车拥有量和汽车使用量，即使在汽车依赖型城市也是如此。5.在欧洲，无车住房、车库法、汽车共享等方面有一些欧洲条件。6.在日本，我们有一些与欧洲不同的条件。但我们可以认为无车住房对日本城市是有好处的。我们可以估计在日本实现无车住房的一些条件，也许我们可以在日本一些已经没有车的地区找到它们。

There are near 20 projects of Car-free Housing in Europe. They are sustainable housing districts living without cars. We have researched 12 Car-free Housing projects, 8 of them are in Germany, others are in Scotland, Netherlands, Austria and Denmark. We have evaluated these projects as sustainable communities and sought possible conditions in Japan as follows,1.Some of them have accomplished good environmental conditions, green, open space, calm and safe.2.They are also environmentally sustainable and neighborhood friendly communities.3.They are almost affordable housing because they need not much parking facilities.4.They have reduced car-ownership and car-use even in car depended cities.5.There are some European conditions for Car-free Housing, GARAGE-LAW, Car-Sharing etc.6.In Japan, we have some different conditions from Europe. But we can think that Car-free Housing is good for Japanese cities.And we can estimate some conditions to realize Car-free Housing in Japan, probably we can find them in some districts in Japan which are already Car-free.
