项目摘要

平成15年度の研究により得られた成果は以下のとおりである.1.修辞表現の理解過程の認知・計算モデルと審美的効果の喚起モデルを融合した認知モデルの構築(a)昨年度に提案した審美的効果の喚起過程の認知モデル-言語表現に内在するずれによって生じる多大な処理労力・負荷に見合うだけの豊かな解釈により審美的効果が生じる-を,研究代表者が以前に提案している比喩理解の認知・計算モデルに融合した.(b)研究代表者が提案しているアイロニーの暗黙的提示理論に基づき,アイロニーの対人的効果である嫌味さとユーモラスさがどのようなメカニズムによって生じるのかをモデル化した.2.心理実験による修辞表現の理解・鑑賞過程の認知モデルの評価(a)「AはBである」という形式の隠喩表現を用いて,隠喩の解釈生成および審美的効果の喚起に関するオフライン実験を行った.その結果,AとBの類似度が低いほど比喩解釈に多くの創発特徴(たとえる概念やたとえられる概念では顕現的でないが,比喩の意味では顕現的となる特徴や属性)が含まれること,創発特徴が多く含まれるほどその解釈は豊かである(エントロピーが高くなる)こと,豊かな解釈を持つか,または美的評価が高い比喩表現は審美的効果を喚起しやすいことが明らかになった.これらの結果は,上記1(a)の統合認知モデルの妥当性をおおむね支持する.(b)アイロニーの表現と発話状況がアイロニーさ(皮肉さ)の度合い,嫌味さの度合い,ユーモラスさの度合いに与える影響を調べるためのオフライン実験を行った.その結果,皮肉さと嫌味さは主にアイロニーの表現スタイルに依存するのに対し,ユーモラスさは表現と状況の両方に影響を受けるという,1(b)の認知モデルの予測に沿う実験結果を得た.本研究課題で得られた以上の成果をもとに,認知修辞学という新たな学問領域を形成していきたい.
