1.カリキュラム段階とメディア認識との関連性についての調査研究目的カリキュラムを軸に,児童・生徒のメディアに対する認識が,発達的に変化するのかどうか検討する。方法対象者 大阪府下および兵庫県下の小・中・高等学校の児童・生徒996人。課題 文字メディア(新聞)と映像メディア(テレビ)の2つのメディア活用場面がイラスト化された調査用紙。対象者は,決められた項目群に従い,場面ごとに評定をおこなう。手続き 2004年11月から12月にかけ,各校ともクラス単位で実施。結果メディアに対するイメージは校種によって大きく変化しない。文字メディアは,「役に立つ」が,映像メディアは,あまり「役に立つ」とはとらえられていない。また,文字メディアについては,子どもは「役に立つ」と認識してはいるが,なぜ必要と考えるかを問われると,小学校の約半数の子どもたちが明確に記述できない。これはメディアについて意識的に考える機会が,学校教育段階で設定されていないことによるだろう。メディアはどのように役に立つのか,省察する機会を設ける,などの教育的働きかけが必要と考えられる。2.高次読解リテラシー形成をめざした授業実践の開発・実施目的文字メディア活用を通じて,内容の理解にとどまらず,OECD/PISA調査で強調されているような,高次の読解リテラシー形成が可能かどうか検討する。方法対象者 兵庫県下の中学校3年生48人。課題 複数の新聞記事から構成されたワークシート2種類((1)出来事は異なるが,伝え方が同じ複数記事。(2)出来事は同じだが,伝え方が異なる複数記事)。生徒は,授業実践の中でこれらのワークシートを読み,意見を交換しながら,内容について熟考する。手続き 授業実践は,2004年6月に,2クラスで実施された。結果記述を分類するカテゴリを作成し、反応レベルを検討した。結果を以下に示す。(1)情報を客観的にとらえる読解リテラシーは,ワークシート(1)の利用を通じて,機能する。(2)ワークシート(2)の利用によって,生徒の理解は,個別の記事内容に焦点化してしまうことから,この提示様式(出来事は同じだが,伝え方が異なる複数の記事)では,高次読解リテラシーの形成が妨げられる可能性がある。
