项目摘要

本年度は、中原中也と戦前の詩雑誌に関する資料収集を重点的に行った。特に力を入れて収集したのは、昭和詩壇に関する文献と、雑誌「四季」「椎の木」に関する資料である。ほかにも、ラジオメディアや詩の朗読運動、戦争詩に関する資料なども収集した。収集はインターネットや目録を通じての古書店での購入のほか、日本近代文学館、神奈川近代文学館、早稲田大学中央図書館、梅光学院大学図書館、山口県立図書館などでの調査・コピーによって行った。また、ドキュメントスキャナを使って、収集した資料のデジタル化を進めており、今後の情報収集に備えている。現在は、収集した資料を読み込みながら、中原中也と同時代の詩壇、特に昭和詩壇最大の詩雑誌「四季」との関わりについて検討している最中である。中原が「四季」の同人だった期間はそれほど長かったわけではなく、現在では「四季」のなかでも異質な存在と捉えられることが多い。しかし「四季」は、中原の存在を同時代の詩壇に認識させた、という点において中原にとって大きな意味を持っていたことが、中原の同時代評を調査しているうちにわかった。では中原は、その「四季」をどのようにみていたのだろうか。また「四季」は、同人たちすべてが統一した詩観や目標を持っていたわけではなく、だからこそ他の同人たちとはやや異質にみえる中原が同人に加わる余地があったのだが、いくら異質とはいえ、「四季」同人に加わることで中原に生じた詩風の変化や、逆に中原が「四季」に与えた影響もあったはずである。では、それは一体どのようなものだったのか。また検討が十分でないが、戦前の昭和詩壇全体や「四季」以外の他の詩雑誌、詩人たちの動向を視野に入れつつ、中原と詩壇の関わりについてさらなる検討を進めていきたい。
