Before starting research, the author supposed that there would have been some influence from 9.11 terrorism on the Mauritian language policy. However that was not the case. As an independent country, Mauritius has had its own policy since independence. They have been speaking Mauritian Creole, reading French and been educated in English. Mauritian Creole has a different status from that of Reunion, where some scholars and writers have been trying to preserve their Creole as a local language of France. What would happen to Mauritian Creole? As tourism is the MAD. economic resource in Mauritius and most of tourists are from France, they will not let French go. Recently cyber city project has been operated supported by Indians, so they will need English as well.Important social developments have taken place under the influence of the UK and France, along with the promulgation of new ideas and the spread of education, especially among Mauritians. Mauritius has a diversity of language and culture. It is said that Mauritian people have been trying to establish such diversity as an effective way of founding the nation state in its short history. On the other hand, in order to unify as a nation, Mauritians need to share the same language for the same information and news.It seems that there are not many papers on Mauritian language, culture and society, even though Mauritius is very interesting because of their plural languages, races, cultures, and possibility for further study. It will be helpful if the reports on the situation of the Sprachgemeinschaft in Mauritius and their position in international politics would help realize the problems that Mauritius has
