3次元フォトリソグラフィの応用可能性をニーズのあるデバイスの形で示す試みは、ニーズを持つ外部研究グループと一緒に行った。関西大学の青柳教授らとの、自立カンチレバーと組み合わされたMOSFET容量センサ、香川大学の大平教授らとの、ICパッケージ側壁への配線パターン形成である。露光技術などの推敲と、成膜の基礎研究(評価法、気流解析)も平行して進めた。応用展開と、プロセス技術全般の推敲、学術的基礎の蓄積が進展した。
