项目摘要

本研究は、電子化黒板(Interactive BIackboard/Whiteboard;e-黒板,電子白板とも呼ばれる)の効果的な活用を目指し、従来の黒板の利点に着目した授業支援ツールの開発を目的とする。また、その効果として、受講者の「コミュニケーションにおいて、相手と社会的・感情的につながっていると感じられる程度」を表す統合的な概念である存在感(social presence,社会的存在感とも訳される)に着目した開発を行う。さらに、日本語教育への応用として、上記ツールの機能の拡張を行い、留学生を対象とした実際の日本語の授業における運用を目指す。本年度は(1)受講者の存在感の向上という観点からのツールの評価、および(2)評価結果をふまえたツールの改良と日本語教育支援機能の開発を行い、以下の知見を得た。(1)では、(a)速記性・柔軟性、(b)ノートテイキングの効果、(c)視線集中の効果という3点に着目した黒板の特徴分析、従来の授業支援ツールとの比較、存在感の効果に関わる実験検証を行った。結果、本ツールは従来の黒板の利点を維持しながら自然な形で授業時のコミュニケーション支援を行うことができ、受講者の存在感を促進し、学習への主体的な態度といった学習の情意面を支援できることが示された。(2)では、(1)の評価結果を踏まえ、日本語教育における電子化黒板の効果的な活用に必要な要件として、(A)特別な操作を必要としない、(B)受講者自ら発信する、(C)授業の文脈を妨げない、の3つに着目し、(1)受講者の現在の状態、(2)受講者が書いたノートの一部、(3)受講者の反応の3種類のフィードバックを受講者の紙へのノートテイキングから収集し、電子化黒板上に表示する機能を開発した。数名の日本語教師を対象とした評価より、従来の日本語教育の授業の文脈を維持したまま自然に受講者の反応を収集でき双方向的な授業への応用が期待された一方、入力装置の精度の問題が本ツールの実用に向けての課題としてあげられた。以上の研究成果を論文としてまとめ、関連する学会にて発表した。

This study aims at the development of interactive whiteboard (Interactive Blackboard/Whiteboard; e-Blackboard) and its application. A number of Japanese language teachers have been working on the topic of maintaining the context of Japanese language education. The speaker has been working on the topic of improving the accuracy of Japanese language education. The results of the above research are presented in the paper.
