免疫抑制剤FK506投与による骨粗懸症に対するプロピオン酸菌の発酵産物(PC)である新規なビフィズス菌増殖因子1, 4-dihydroxy-2-naphthoic acid(DHNA)の効果の検討した。1. DHNAの骨粗鬆症改善効果を証明した。2. この効果はFK506投与により増加したB細胞を減少させ、減少したT細胞を増加させることにより起こると考えられた。3. 骨髄から、マイクロアレイを用いた網羅的解析を行ない、対照群と比較し発現差が認められたのは、骨免疫に関与している2487個の遺伝子であった。
