本研究は、小中学校で行われている栽培学習に役立つソフトウエアや教材植物の情報を提供することを目的とした。ソフトウエアの開発では、草花の名称や野菜の形態を覚えるためのクイズ、長期にわたる植物成長を記録・整理するシステム、作物の適正栽植間隔を理解するためのソフトウエア、などを開発した。教材情報では、多様な特徴を有する教材植物の画像や、植物の動きや成長に伴う形態変化を記録した映像などを作成した。これらは、近日中にweb公開する予定である。
