極低出生体重で出生した児とその母親に対する母子相互作用に着目した縦断的な介入研究を実施した。毎回の家庭訪問で母親の訴えに傾聴し、具体的な育児方法について支援を行ってきた。育児支援を行う上で母親とのパートナーシップを形成することの必要性が示唆された。また、育児支援プログラム開発のための準備として、日本語版Nursing Child Assessment FeedingScale(J-NCAFS)を開発し、信頼性検討をした。
